Northern Delights was created by Hitramat, family business which is a part of Insula, a seafood group that aims to become the leading player in the Nordic region.

With anual sales of aprox. €35 million, the Hitramat Group, known as Conchilia, employs up to 180 in high season which makes it Norway’s leading and Europe’s largest crab processing company.

Sivert, one of Anton Fjeldvær’s sons,

founds “HitraMat” company on one of the piers in Ansnes.

Here, the fish products are made by hand and brought to

the consumers via retailers throughout the district.

Sivert Fjeldvaer, Anton’s son, took over

the company and leads the business successfully

until his untimely passing of cancer at the age 50.
